“Repair”

Editorial Illustration is an area i wish to take work for illustrating articles in newspapers and magazines concerning subjects of ecology, science and enviromental education . Published by Landfill Editions, “Repair” zine was created by students and stuff from MA Illustration - Authorial Practice at Falmouth University. Submissions were invited on the theme of Repair - the topic of the 2021 Annual Illustration Forum. I chose to take an editorial approach and to actively voice subjects that need change in our socioeconomic and natural environments. 

Re-wilding lands may help insect population recover, an important step towards repairing the planet’s ecosystems. Overfishing, climate change and over acidification of the seas has caused an increase of jellyfish population. Illustrators can work alongside scientists and journalists to inform the public, increase awareness and inspire positive actions towards restoring and reversing climate change. All submisions were welcome in black & white.
